Happy to be in the middle of it all: the midground plants

The transition between foreground and background is a key point, especially in aquascaping, in order to avoid the dreaded “meadow before forest” syndrome.

In addition to the correct use of hardscape, midground plants are particularly suitable for creating a flowing transition.

Many species are very suitable for placing in front of or on the hardscape. But so-called solitary plants, i.e. eye-catchers, also belong to the category of middle ground plants.

Such an eye-catcher can be a particularly eye-catching plant, or for example something red that stands out from the lush green of other plants.
