Waterplant Soil

Ebi Gold Waterplant Soil consists of various burned dark earths and volcanic ash, which are rich in micro and macro nutrients. The very large surface area and the open-pored structure create an ideal habitat for the important microorganisms and bacteria in the substrate. These natural living conditions are an important basis for the development of a balanced ecosystem in the aquarium.

The Ebi Gold Waterplant Soil contains all the important nutrients for plants and regulates the pH value in the substrate to around 6-6.7, which is an ideal value for all aquatic plants so that they can optimally absorb the nutrients. The water hardness is also reduced to a GH of around 4-5. The open-pored structure and the long-lasting stability of the substrate enable very good circulation of water and an even release of nutrients. The plants develop strong and deep roots and grow into magnificent eye-catchers.

This substrate should not be pre-washed, you can start setting up the aquarium straight away. A slight initial cloudiness disappears within a few hours and the result is absolutely clear, clean water.

The Ebi Gold Waterplant Soil is ideal for setting up aquariums using the so-called “Dry Start method”. The aquarium plants are planted in the water-soaked substrate and always kept moderately moist. The plants grow faster and more evenly and only as soon as the desired growth appears do you fill the aquarium with water and put the technology (filter, CO2 system, etc.) into operation.

This substrate is made only from natural raw materials and does not contain any added fertilizers.
