Product description & details

Ultra-white and purest Montmorillonite powder (95%) of the highest quality, without chemical additives.

Can be used in fish & shrimp aquariums.

Montmorillonite binds heavy metals and other pollutants and supports shrimps and other crustaceans, such as crabs and crayfish, during the difficult molting process.

Effect:

  • binds pollutants in the aquarium
  • creates clear water
  • brighter, more opaque white in bee shrimp
  • supports the molting of shrimps
  • promotes the well-being and breeding of shrimp

Montmorillonite has been used by professional shrimp breeders for years and is economical in dosage: approx. 1 gram per 100 liters of water (overdosing is not harmful)

During the weekly water change, the powder can simply be added to the changing water or directly into the aquarium and stirred if necessary. It dissolves on its own.

We also mix it into shrimp food!

Since an aquarium is a small, self-contained biological system and too much food can put a lot of strain on the water, you should only feed as much as will be eaten in a short period of time. The more polluting the feed, the shorter this time should be. Live and frozen food as well as most (protein-rich) fish foods should be eaten within a few minutes, food sticks for shrimp and crabs in about 2-3 hours.

If you happen to get too much food, the leftover food should be removed from the aquarium after 24 hours at the latest.

Exceptions are of course the permanent food varieties, which are designed for long-term feeding. This includes holiday and weekend food, but also mineral stones or brown leaves like catappa, walnut or oak leaves.
