Our Scapers & Breeders quality Shrimp Gravel looks simply brilliant thanks to its jet black color and brings out the colors of your animals to their best advantage. Shrimp and fish often do not show their full potential on substrates that are too light. The contrast with the green of the plants is also simply brilliant and even the usual mud is perfectly camouflaged. Another advantage of S&B Shrimp Gravel is that it has rounded edges so that bottom fish cannot injure themselves.
The grain size of 2-3mm offers the plants optimal support for the roots.
We use the finer grained S&B Shrimp Sand black ourselves in our Neocaridina and Tiger shrimp tanks and can only report positive things.
