Product description & details
Ebi Gold Shrimp Soil was specially developed for shrimp aquariums. It consists of various burned dark earths and contains only very small amounts of nutrients. This means that the animals are not influenced by fertilizers or fluctuating water values. The very large surface area and the open-pored structure create an ideal habitat for the important microorganisms and bacteria in the substrate. These natural living conditions are an important basis for the development of a balanced ecosystem in the aquarium.
The Ebi Gold Shrimp Soil stabilizes the pH value at around 6.2-6.8, depending on the tap water, which is an ideal value for shrimp aquariums. The water hardness is also reduced to a GH of around 4-5 and a CH of around 1-2. The open-pored structure and the long-lasting stability of the substrate enable very good circulation of water and an even release of nutrients. The plants develop strong and deep roots and grow into magnificent eye-catchers.
This substrate should not be pre-washed, you can start setting up the aquarium straight away. A slight initial cloudiness disappears within a few hours and the result is absolutely clear, clean water.
This Shrimp Soil is made only from natural raw materials and does not contain any added fertilizers. It is produced in Japan according to ISO9001 quality management by one of the largest manufacturers of aquarium accessories and technology and is used with great success by many shrimp breeders and keepers.
