Product description & details

Decapsulated (= peeled) Artemia eggs are a natural food that is ideal for enhancing the color. They are readily accepted by small fish as well as shrimp and crabs. Since the eggs are already peeled, they are absorbed 100% without leaving any shell residue behind.

  • with their organic nutritional value, they achieve the best growth and natural color intensity in your animals.
  • they are also an alternative to conventional artemia eggs, which first have to be laboriously incubated.
  • decapsulated Artemia eggs are easy to handle and easy to store.
  • supplementary food rich in fiber and protein.
  • also ideal for producing your own food.

Feeding: only feed as much as will be eaten within a few minutes. Remove any leftover food from the aquarium. Because the eggs swim on the surface of the water for a long time before sinking, (young) fish both near the surface and bottom get enough.

These eggs are intended for immediate feeding. If you want to breed Artemia, we recommend the Artemia eggs from JBL or the ready-made mix (eggs + salt) from Microbe-Lift.

Since an aquarium is a small, self-contained biological system and too much food can put a lot of strain on the water, you should only feed as much as will be eaten in a short period of time. The more polluting the feed, the shorter this time should be. Live and frozen food as well as most (protein-rich) fish foods and powder food should be eaten within a few minutes, food sticks for shrimp and crabs in about 2-3 hours.

If you happen to get too much food, the leftover food should be removed from the aquarium after 24 hours at the latest.

Exceptions are of course the permanent food varieties, which are designed for long-term feeding. This includes holiday and weekend food, but also mineral stones or brown leaves like catappa, walnut or oak leaves.
