Product description & details
Natural, air-dried bark of the Ceylon cinnamon tree.
The uses and benefits of Ceylon cinnamon tree bark are similar to Indian almond tree leaves. It has an antibacterial and antifungal effect and can therefore be used to support and prevent bacterial or fungal diseases such as fin rot or fin fungus and spawning fungus. Cinnamon bark is also extremely useful in combating mucous membrane damage, bite wounds and injuries.
The natural tannins and essential oils contained promote the well-being of the aquarium animals and are slowly released into the aquarium water over a period of 1-2 weeks. Over time, the surface of the bark becomes colonized by microorganisms, which particularly shrimp like to graze on.
