Product description & details
Our sweet chestnut leaves are a natural product from Carinthia, collected far away from industry and car traffic. Sweet chestnut leaves have an antibacterial and antifungal effect similar to Indian almond tree (Catappa) leaves. In contrast to green leaves, brown autumn leaves do not pollute the water and can remain in the water. In this way it is a welcome supplementary food for your shrimps and crabs.
During the decomposition process, countless bacteria form on the leaves, which are stripped off and consumed by the shrimp. If the leaf is ultimately soft enough, it is eaten itself. Sweet chestnut leaves can easily be left in the aquarium until it has been completely eaten and only the skeleton remains.
Application: approx. 1 leaf per 30 liters. If there are several leaves in different stages of decomposition in the aquarium, invertebrates always have something to nibble on. Scald briefly to make it sink faster.
