Product description & details
Our oak leaves are a natural product from Carinthia, collected far away from industry and car traffic. Oak leaves have an antibacterial and antifungal effect similar to Indian almond tree (Catappa) leaves. In contrast to green leaves, brown autumn leaves do not pollute the water and can remain in the water. In this way it is a welcome supplementary food for your shrimps and crabs.
During the decomposition process, countless bacteria form on the leaves, which are stripped off and consumed by the shrimp. If the leaf is ultimately soft enough, it is eaten itself. Beech leaves dissolve slowly and can stay in the tank for a very long time.
Application: approx. 1 leaf per 30 liters. If there are several leaves in different stages of decomposition in the aquarium, invertebrates always have something to nibble on. Scald briefly to make it sink faster.
