Product description & details
Our Catappa (Indian almond tree) bark, like our Catappa leaves, is collected from trees in a natural and pesticide-free environment.
In addition to its properties as a pretty decoration and shelter, the Catappa bark has an antibacterial and fungal effect and thus prevents a variety of bacterial and fungal infections.
The well-being of shrimps and fish is increased by the tannins released.
By adding Catappa bark, the pH value can be slightly reduced.
The bark of the Indian almond tree has an even stronger effect than its leaves.
The Catappa bark can be added directly to the water or boiled briefly beforehand. It will initially float on the surface of the water, but will sink after about a day. The bark releases its active ingredients for about 2 weeks and can be left in the aquarium afterwards.
