Sun-dried Catappa leaves (18 – 30 cm) of the best quality
Active ingredients in the Indian almond tree leaves (Catappa), such as tannins, have a mild disinfectant and fungicidal effect. Accordingly, they can be used, for example, to prevent spawn fungus, but also to treat and prevent fin rot and mucous membrane problems.
The pH is only reduced very slightly and the total salt content (conductance) is slightly increased. With higher doses, the water takes on a beautiful amber tone after a while, but remains crystal clear. Catappa products naturally increase the vitality and well-being of aquarium animals. Valuable tannins, essential oils and humic substances protect and nourish.
The leaves are also valued by shrimps and snails as a welcome source of fiber. The leaves can be left in the water until only the skeleton is left.
