Product description & details
Rotala macrandra is an unusually beautiful aquarium plant that comes from southern India. The leaves of this stem plant are slightly wavy, delicate and egg-shaped. The leaf and stem colors vary, depending on the intensity and proximity of the light, between green, bronze and an intense red. This type of Rotala has relatively high demands. It requires strong lighting to develop the beautiful red color. The addition of CO2 and soft water are necessary for good growth. It looks most beautiful in a group, but the individual shoots must not be planted so densely that the lower leaves do not receive any light, otherwise it will quickly tend to lose them.
