Product description & details
In nature, many of our aquarium fish, amphibians and invertebrates feed on small insects and their larvae as well as other small aquatic animals. Giving live food represents a very natural and optimal diet for these species.
Blackworms are ideal for feeding medium to large aquarium animals. Since they sink quickly to the ground, they are mainly used by ground-feeding animals. The protein and vitamin-rich blackworms, which are closely related to earthworms, also have a relatively high fat content, which is why they should be fed in moderation and ideally alternately with other, less fatty types of live food. The worms, up to 10cm in size, are ideal for medium-sized to large fish, crabs, amphibians such as axolotls or newts and are also often eaten by large arm shrimp (Macrobrachium), which have a primarily carnivorous diet.
Our live food is delivered every Wednesday (rarely Thursday) and can be shipped “express” the same day. For larger order quantities, shipping might be delayed by 1 week.
