Product description & details

Dr. Bassleer Biofish Food Better Tabs is the species-appropriate alternative to conventional tablet food. Every aquarist who has ever used food in tablet form knows this: you add 1 – 2 tablets to the aquarium. These lie in one place on the bottom and are occupied by a few fish. A large proportion of fish that are not so assertive do not get to the food and therefore run the risk of not being fed properly.

Dr. Bassleer Biofish Food Better Tabs sink immediately and are distributed evenly, so that not only individual fish can claim the food for themselves.

Since an aquarium is a small, self-contained biological system and too much food can put a lot of strain on the water, you should only feed as much as will be eaten in a short period of time. The more polluting the feed, the shorter this time should be. Live and frozen food as well as most (protein-rich) fish foods should be eaten within a few minutes, food sticks for shrimp and crabs in about 2-3 hours.

If you happen to get too much food, the leftover food should be removed from the aquarium after 24 hours at the latest.

Exceptions are of course the permanent food varieties, which are designed for long-term feeding. This includes holiday and weekend food, but also mineral stones or brown leaves like catappa, walnut or oak leaves.
